DT-X series monitors: DT-X53F / DT-X73F / DT-X92F / DT-X93Hx2
As an extension of JVC monitor portfolio, we can now offer the DT-X series of monitors with new small panel sizes. These are ideal to be used on cameras, or as control monitors in a system rack (DT-X93Hx2).
All monitors are full HD resolution, are very robust and have a wide range of accessories. The monitors support 3G HD-SDI and input signals up to 2048x1080 50/60P. The individual models DT-X53 / X73 / X92 are equipped with waveform/vectorscope and histogram measurement tools, and there’s even a row selector for the waveform display. 16-channel audio level metering and all standard marker functions are also integrated.
The monitors’ function keys can be programmed with your favourite functions. If you use the monitors out on location, we would recomment the PRO package, which also comes with a robust transport case and other useful accessories.
For image control in playout or OB van applications, there’s the DT-X93Hx2 – a dual 9” 1920x1200 pixels rack-mounted monitor. This unit has all the basic functions from the DT-X series, except the waveform/vector/histogram functions, which were removed to keep the costs as low as possible.
DT-V17G25, DT-V24G2, DT-V17G2 and DT-V21G2
The new LCD Monitor DT-V series of professional production monitors conforms to the EBU Class 2 requirements in terms of colour space, gamma and gradation. They deliver the accurate reproduction of colour and HD image quality required for broadcast applications. The top models in the range, the DT-V17G25 and DT-V24G2, are each equipped with a 10-bit IPS LCD panel, which surpasses the EBU Class 2 requirements in some respects. The monitors satisfy the specifications for brightness range and colour temperature.
The two most critical factors, gamma and grey gradation, have also been improved over previous models to meet the demands of studio and professional application requirements. The 10-bit IPS panel monitor has an extremely wide viewing angle, with excellent chromatic aberration properties - the 10-bit processor offers improved grey shades and gradation. There is a contrast ratio of 1500:1, with brightness of 300/450 cd/m2 (depending on model), thanks to the reliable and energy efficient LED backlight.
3G HD-SDI inputs including dual HD-SDI support
In addition to regular HD-SDI support, the monitor has a 3G HD-SDI interface to enable 1080p (non-compressed digital video data) with a data rate of max. 3 Gb/s transfer. Presentable 3G-SDI signals are: 3G A-1 to A-4 (Level A mapping structure 1 to 4) as well as 3G B&B DS1-DS2 Level B data stream 1 and 2, and 3G B-DUAL Level B DUAL LINK.
The DT-V monitors feature an integrated waveform monitor / vectorscope and histogram, where you can display values for colour saturation, brightness and input signals. There’s also a 16-channel audio level meter, with status, peak and total value for each channel. The audio indicator has been added to the Lissajous figure for the representation of the phase difference and amplitude control. This ‘on-screen’ function is essential for professional studio and post-production work. The other two models in the range, the DT V17G2 and DT-V21G2, also have the same features above, including 10-bit signal processing, but differ in that they have an LCD panel with 8-bit colour depth.
In January 2016 JVC has launched the DT-N Series of affordable studio monitors. There are three models in the series – the DT-N17F, DT-N21F and DT-N24F, with 17.3", 21.5" and 23.8" panels respectively – each supporting up to Cinema 2K 2048x1080p signal sources. The monitors provide outstanding image quality and include an array of professional features, such as waveform monitors, vector scope, histogram and 3G support, ideal for a wide range of broadcast, OB, production and post-production applications.
The monitors feature a 1920×1080 pixel full HD resolution LCD panel with LED backlighting, with wide viewing angle (horizontal and vertical) and 16.7M colour depth, and are compatible with ITU-709 standard colour space for HDTV broadcasting. They support 3G/HD/SD-SDI and 2K-SDI, including Level-A and Level-B, so are capable of transferring 1080p uncompressed digital video data at a maximum rate of 60fps at 3Gbit per second. 2K-SDI (2048x1080/24p) is also supported and down-samples to the full HD display.
The smallest monitor of the three, the DT-N17F, features a 19" rack mount, with a stand and V-mount battery holder for field work included on all three models. They are also easily upgradable via a USB port on the rear of the monitor, without requiring a computer.
