Sachtler's selection of camera tripods is extensive. Whether you are looking for an especially lightweight model or your work requires a particular payload: All Sachtler tripods win over users with stability, durability and ergonomic design for quick set-up – even during harsh conditions and in extreme temperatures. Crafted from high-quality materials, they have stood the test of time for over five decades.

Camera Connections: There are Sachtler tripods featuring connections with 75 mm bowls for DSLR cameras and camcorders, 100 mm bowls for ENG as well as 150 mm or flat base for TV or cine cameras.

Materials & Weight: Tripods made of Dural Aluminium (DA) are extremely robust and durable. They win over users with their enormous resilience and break-proof qualities. The carbon fiber (CF) material is clearly more lightweight than aluminum. For this reason, Sachtler carbon fiber tripods are popular because of their low weight — especially while on the go or during run-and-gun shoots. In extreme temperatures, this material also has a more comfortable feel and provides higher torsional stiffness.

Extension / Height Range: Sachtler tripods are available 1-stage or 2-stage, so you can select the tripod according to your requirements and preferences. 2-stage tripods include the code “2” in the product name, just like all of the Speed Lock tripods. The height of the tripods with a ground spreader is somewhat higher than with the mid-level spreader configurations. In the 75 mm range, the TT 75 / 2 CF tripod offers a particularly high extension.

Mid-Level or Ground Spreader: Anybody who works on uneven ground and “on location” has an advantage with the mid-level spreader. In the studio and on even ground, the ground spreader provides increased stability.

Payload: Many Sachtler tripods are not only available as a standard version but as a heavy-duty version (HD) as well. Thanks to larger diameters, these tripods provide extreme stability.

Tripod clamps: 1-stage tripods have rotary clamping, which fixes the respective tripod leg quickly in the desired extension length. 2-stage tripods feature the Sachtler fast-action clamping; on each tripod leg, the user may simply throw a lever. If things need to be even simpler, the patented Sachtler Speed Lock clamping system can help. Only one fast-action clamp lever is used to simultaneously fasten the lower and upper extension — that’s lightning fast and extremely comfortable.
